Restoration of Grade 2 Listed Gardeners Cottage at Leybourne Manor for Taylor Wimpey South Thames

As part of our currently three-year involvement on the restoration of Leybourne Manor at West Malling for Taylor Wimpey the first derelict building has been restored.

The Grade 2 Listed former Gardeners Cottage and associated outbuildings had fallen into dereliction with interiors and roofs close to collapse.

Prior to partial demolition we surveyed the original joinery, windows and decorative roof and chimney details and have replicated these in the total restoration of the property.

The final restoration and addition of a sensitive extension creating additional bedroom and kitchen accommodation has returned the derelict building to full use and will ensure its survival for many years to come.

Work is now progressing on the restoration of the Stable Yard and the main Manor House, with completion for the whole project anticipated in 2021.
