The End Of An Era

End of an Era Part 1

After 14 years and 1287 houses and apartments our work for Taylor Wimpey West London at Saxon Heights in Andover has come to an end. In February Carla and the rest of the team visited site for the last time and commented how the building styles had changed over that time.

In particular the linked apartment buildings which form an environmental acoustic barrier between the remainder of the site and the adjacent railway have created an interesting feature.

End of an Era Part 2

Its amazing how long we can be involved in projects. Last week our Principal, Jonathan Tolley, was invited to the formal unveiling of the completed restoration of the Grade 2 listed Leybourne Manor House, in West Malling, a project for Taylor Wimpey South Thames. Jonathan first visited site in 2016 and ever since that time has been deeply involved in the complete rebuilding and restoration of the derelict stable buildings, gardener’s cottage and the main manor house.

The manor house itself had completely collapsed internally and required extensive reconstruction, taking over 3 years, before any internal conversion and fitting out could be completed.

Along with our projects already on site we have delivered production phase drawings for just over 700 new dwellings to Taylor Wimpey South Thames in recent days and we are now looking forward to our next projects with them.

Our top end developer, Luxuria Homes, continue to go from strength to strength and currently we have three amazing split level houses on site with them in Marlow. The two large houses for them in Hook Heath, Woking are also on site and are currently up to ground floor slab level.

We currently don’t have any vacancies within the office but we are always pleased to hear from anyone interested in joining our team and we will keep any details on file should a position arise. The roles would best suit Part 1 or Part 2 architects and we have long experience of helping similar candidates pass through these phases to the next level of their careers, however we would be delighted to hear from any level of experience. We also offer the opportunity for flexible working for applicants looking to return to work on a part time or reduced hours basis.
